The Rev '

The Rev was the drummer of the band Avenged Sevenfold and his real name was James Owen Sullivan. His full stage name was The Reverend Tholomew Plague, but was later just shortened to "The Rev". He was only four years old when he got his first pair of drum sticks and he got his first drum set at the age of eleven. He was only eighteen when he recorded his first album with Avenged Sevenfold. He was an amazing drummer and won many awards because of it. He also played the piano really well and it can be heard in some of the songs. He also was a backup singer in certain songs. Actually, all the band members are decent singers when you can hear them in the background. Just a talented band all around. However, on December 28, 2009, James Owen Sullivan was found, dead, in his home. His death was supposedly due to natural causes, but eventually it was reportedly due to a mixture of medications and alcohol. I find it really sad that people with so much talent make it to the top and are making so much money, then ruin it all by overdosing. Pretty much all the stars that are found dead, die from overdosing on either street drugs or pharmaceutical drugs. What a waaaste of talent. Its really frustrating at times. These people need to figure their lives out!

Avenged Sevenfold Drummer James "The Rev" Sullivan Found Dead

James Sullivan, the drummer for Orange County, California based rock band Avenged Sevenfold and better known to his fans as "The Rev," was found dead in his home yesterday (December 28th.) A local examination claims that he passed away from natural causes. His bandmates from Avenged Sevenfold has posted the following message online:

"It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we tell you of the passing today of Jimmy 'The Rev' Sullivan. Jimmy was not only one of the world's best drummers, but more importantly he was our best friend and brother. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jimmy's family and we hope that you will respect their privacy during this difficult time.

"Jimmy you are forever in our hearts. We love you."
