Zacky Vengeance !

Zacky Vengeance is a guitarist and back vocalist for the band Avenged Sevenfold, and his real name is Zachary James Baker. He taught himself how to play the guitar at the age of thirteen, when his parents bought him a guitar for his birthday. He is left handed but since his parents got him one that was right handed, he learned by playing it upside down. He was in a band called M.P.A for a while but said that it wasnt successful. He came up with his stage name "Zacky Vengeance" to get back at all the people that thought he didnt have the potential. He also came up with the band's initials "A7X". He has also won awards for being the best guitarist along with fellow band member, Synyster Gates. I cant imagine how easy it would be to teach yourself how to play the guitar. I know people that have done this, but i dont really understand how they can become so talented, without any professional teaching or anything. • Zacky's first actual guitar that he owned was a white Squire Strat that his parents got him for his birthday. Zacky found thier hiding place and he was caught playing it 2 weeks before his birthday by his parents. The guitar was right handed and he had to turn it upside down to play it. He also removed the buttons and reversed the strings. He immediately started working on playing Zepplin tunes.
• Zacky created the 6661 logo he has on his guitar. 6661 has a double meaning according to Zacky. The first being its the reverse of the year the band was created, 1999. The explaination for the second meaning is as follows: As most people are aware 666 in religious circles stands for the devil/satan. So Zackys explaination is 666 meaning satan/devil and 1 or won which translates to the devil won.
• In 2010, Zacky was chosen one of Guitar Worlds 30 Coolest Guitarist of all-time.
